CW: Mentions of State Violence, Police Brutality, Fascism, Genocide

It’s been a minute since we’ve last convened in this space. 

Since then we’ve reached 9 months of ongoing genocide in Palestine. COVID is surging. H5N1 is getting closer to human-to-human transmission than ever before. A former president who led a seditious coup got shot, and the repercussions of which I still don’t think we will comprehend due to the entrenchment of both parties in the rise of fascism. Cops murdering black folx in cold blood, her name was Sonya Massey and she should still be with us.

All this while assignments are supposed to be turned in on time. Or you’re supposed to reach out ahead of time (the due date). With what capacity? If it’s work and you’re supposed to do a project, appease client xyz, be customer-facing. With what capacity? Is it just a few people who find this demand at this juncture appalling and exhausting? ‘Merica, are you gaslighting me again? I know you never stopped. I know you never will stop until things change.
